The National Farmers Day Celebration was instituted by the Government of Ghana (PNDC) in 1985 in recognition of the vital role farmers and fishers play in the Ghanaian economy. This day is celebrated on the first FRIDAY of December every year to motivate our gallant farmers and fishers to produce more. From its modest beginning when award winners received a cutlass, pair of Wellington boots and a transister radio, today prices include a fully furnished three bedroom house, tractor with accessories, duoble cabin pickups, outboard motors among others.
